Kokoro Rock Band!

Follow the journey of four friends and their personal and artistic struggles as part of a rock band. Each character has something blocking them from pursuing a music career with their friends, whether that be Mercedes with her rough home life, Bella with her debilitating self-doubt or Alex with her workaholic mindset. 

Kokoro Rock Band! is a rhythm game combined closely with a deep and mysterious story with comedic, romantic, and dark undertones. Put your rhythm skills to the test as you get to know the different characters; Alex, Dani, Mercedes and Bella. 

Kokoro Rock Band! is mainly a visual novel. The background changes to represent different scenes. It has 4 different characters that the player will interact with throughout the game. Occasionally throughout the story, you will be forced into playing a rhythm mini game.  In the rhythm mini games, you will have to hit the 4 different notes at the right time using the arrow keys. The notes will be represented by 4 different coloured arrows. Some notes have been replaced with bombs for added challenge.  The rhythm mini games will be replayable once you have completed the main story.  Your score starts off at zero in every mini game. Hitting a note will increase your score. Missing a note will slightly reduce your score. Hitting a bomb will significantly reduce your score. Missing a bomb will prevent a significant reduction in score. If your score goes below zero, you will fail the mini game which will affect your relationship with the characters.
